14,260 foot East Crestone Peak Summit

We arrived at Crestone's eastern summit at 10:30PM (3.5 hours to traverse). Surprisingly there was a summit register and Gerry Roach's wife had recently signed it. Crestone's east summit is ignored compared to the western summit. From the eastern summit we descended into the 14,180-foot red notch.

14,294 foot Crestone Peak Summit

From the Red Notch we made the easy climb up to the western and main summit and arrived at 10:42 pm. We were the first to summit both peaks that day.
